Jotsholo Village & Arda Homesteads Around PDF E-mail

Jotsholo Village & Arda Homesteads AroundJotsholo Village is one of the six villages of Jotsholo Ward. Most of the amenities in the village are in place except for the Pre-School / Play Centre for the village. Big structures such as schools, residential houses and even Arda stands are already in place but all children in the village are using a makeshift structure to play in.

State University & Jotsholo Secondary School PDF E-mail

State university and Jotsholo Secondary SchoolJotsholo Secondary School was established in 1980 and this was one of the best ‘O’ level results producers in the district. As a day secondary School, most of its text books were running short every term due to students borrowing some books for their home study purposes; this meant the life cycle of most books was shortened. Many would not be returned and students would give all the many reasons why the text book cannot be returned.

Gomoza Ward Rural PDF E-mail

Gomoza Ward RuralSibambene High School and Gomoza Primary School are located in Gomoza Ward just nearby a big Roman Catholic Church and home of Priests. The ward is not only having two schools, but there are four. The two have been serviced since 2005 and what is lacking is connection of electricity supply to the Administration Block, Class Rooms and Teachers Cottages. The school hoped to be connected in the same year of servicing but this was not done and the school has the following classes: - Form one X two, Form two, Form Three, Form Four, Lower Form and Upper Form. It has received assistance from the government of ten (10) computers but there are not used due to lack of electricity within the school.

Jotsholo 70 Village Sanitation PDF E-mail

Jotsholo 70 Village SanitationWater and Sanitation remains a challenge for many in the developing world, and with the challenge of the MDGs, some of us began to see the light and the end of the tunnel. We are just a fraction of the BIG problem that faces us, but we believe with this single foot step towards changing our situation may result in us celebrating the achievement of the MDGs in 2015.

Jotsholo Homesteads Electrification PDF E-mail

Jotsholo Homesteads ElectrificationThe 70 homesteads are part of Jotsholo Village. They are scattered around the growth Point just by the east. These homesteads were very unfortunate, when the Rural Electrification Programme were doing pole and electricity wire mounting, they did it along the main roads only. The well up one were able to pull to their homesteads. This resulted in many homesteads to remain unassisted; also it was not easy for any individual to do anything considering the hush economic status.
